Screening and discussion of the documentary film “A FIERCE GREEN FIRE: The Battle for a Living Planet”

DETAILS – Sustainable Blacksburg is sponsoring A Fierce Green Fire, a film that chronicles the environmental movement from the Sierra Club’s prevention of a dam in the Grand Canyon in the 1960’s to the climate change we face today. The film starts at 1:00 and runs about an hour and 45 minutes. Popcorn and drinks will be available at concession stand prices. When the film is over, enjoy some free fair trade coffee, tea, and snacks from Bollo’s and join in a panel discussion of sustainable practices. Panelists are Dr. John Bouldin and Dr. Daniel Hindman of Virginia Tech’s Sustainable Biomaterials department, and Tracy Garland of Natural Awakenings magazine.
