Sustainable Blacksburg is partnering with Plant SWVA Natives, SustainFloyd and Friends of Peak Creek to increase the accessibility of native trees and shrubs. Native plants in home landscapes are essential to help restore biodiversity in the environment and natural habitats encompass layers of plants, including trees and shrubs. Read more about the value of small trees and shrubs here.

On Saturday, March 19, we will be hosting a distribution of bare-root seedling packages featuring three small trees and/or six shrubs. The number of packages is limited and they must be pre-ordered by March 17 or until we are sold out. We are requesting a donation of $15 for each package to help recover the costs for Plant SWVA Natives.
Pickup sites will be available in Blacksburg, Pulaski and Floyd. Place your order by filling this form Plant SW Virginia Natives Fundraiser. Pickup details are on the order form and a reminder email will be sent closer to the pickup date.
